Purpose: Created for Science Olympiad Astronomy event preparation and Deep Sky Object identification practice.

How it works: Uses OpenCV ORB feature detection to match uploaded images against a curated database of astronomical objects.

Data source: Hundreds of images per object sourced from Google Images and research papers from Google Scholar.
